We are starting to notice a trend with our recipe choosing... they are not fussy, not at all. They have a few steps, a few ingredients and come together pretty effortlessly.


Is this because we are moms who have little time in our day-to-day to be finicky and adventurous or... are are we just lazy and want to spend more time eating what we make while binging Queer Eye?


Regardless, this recipe is easy, so easy that we've started speeding up the boring bits so you'll see more of us being goofballs. Here is our Nectarine Galette, sweetly simple and oh so delicious!!





Nectarine Galette


1 chilled disc of your favourite pastry (sorry, we can't give ours away ;) )

4 cups of sliced nectarines or other stone fruit

1 tsp of lemon juice

1/2 C sugar

1 T cornstarch

pinch of salt

pinch of nutmeg

1 egg, beaten

coarse sugar


Preheat oven to 375. Roll out your pastry on a floured surface to a shape that makes you happy, 1/4 inch thick. Transfer to a lined cookie sheet. Toss sliced nectarines with lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, and salt. Place fruit in the middle of your rolled pastry and fold edges up, forming a pocket of sorts. The more rustic looking the better!! Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake for an hour and 10 minutes! Serve with a smile knowing that you are awesome and can go watch Netflix in the next half hour.
